guardianship law
What is Guardianship?
Guardianship is the legal process by which individuals obtain the right to make legal decisions on behalf of an incapacitated
loved one.
There are two types of Guardianship: Guardianship of the Estate and Guardianship of the Person. When an individual has guardianship of the person over someone, they are in charge of making medical decisions, Guardianship of the Estate occurs when an individual is appointed by a court to make financial decisions for someone else.
